  • The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world.

  • Late fees add up! In 2016, borrowers at the San Jose public library racked up more than $6.8 million in delinquent fees.
  • No shushing at the Tikkurila Library in Vantaa, Finland ~ they have a karaoke room.
  • At the New York Public Library, you can borrow books, neckties, and briefcases.
  • The lions outside the main branch of the New York Public Library are named Patience and Fortitude.

  • Attend events organized by the library.

  • Get acquainted with your library staff to find out how to get involved and learn about new resources.
