The Book Catalysts

The Book Catalysts’ Webinars & Virginia’s Publishing Workshops

In 2011, Virginia teamed up with Lynda McDaniel, writer/editor/coach and a long-time colleague and close friend. Together, they created The Book Catalysts, a book writing coaching service that specializes in teaching their Fast-Start/Strong-Finish Method to break through the barriers and write a first draft fast.

Together they’ve presented writing/publishing webinars for individuals and for associations and organizations, too, including a multi-session series for IMC (Institute of Management Consultants).

We believe that with the right tools, techniques, & tips, you can create Book Magic.

Lynda and Virginia were part of our expert panel at “Connect-Love-Thrive” and they were one of the most dynamic duos we had! Their information was direct and actionable and their presentation style was high-energy and connecting. Listeners were energized and enthusiastic about starting their books thanks to the Fast Start Techniques they laid out for us. Thank you Lynda & Virginia for sharing your gifts with our group. — Donna Burick & Marjorie Walker, Holistic Success Catalysts, Connect-Love-Thrive.com

Praise for The Book Catalysts’ Bay Area Retreat

On October 28, 2011, Lynda McDaniel and I held a one day writer’s retreat, “Roll Up Your Sleeves and Write!” at the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, California. Our participants each took advantage of a thirty minute consultation with each of us. At the end of day, our participants gave us a standing ovation.

“My experience at the retreat was wonderful!  Lynda and Virginia provided me with fresh and valuable information that, even after earning an MFA degree, I’d never heard before.  They spent their time listening to each and every one of us.  I left there feeling inspired and proud of my writing.”

I am really enjoying and benefiting from what Lynda and Virginia do. The combination of information, inspiration, and setting realistic standards and goals is very powerful. Rock on!” — Dr. Terry “Doc” Dockery

“The workshop was beyond description of how wonderful it was. Lynda and Virginia have an excellent balance and could answer any writing question. I so loved the time to get into my passion and then receive insightful answers to my pressing questions. You added prizes (like you weren’t enough) and passed on valuable techniques. The other participants added more information, too. Delightful. What a perfect way to spend a day!”
